Bafta nominated directing duo Karni and Saul. 

Karni (she) studied photography and art at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem.

Saul (he) studied art and music and is a self-taught CG Artist, musician and illustrator.

We like to create "casual fantasy”, a place where beautiful photography and film can meet animation and magical elements.

We love a good juicy visual and an emotionally gripping story. Also slightly obsessed with hybrid animals. We like to “play” seriously!!

 

In 2010 we directed our first short film ”Turning” , a story of a magical afternoon with a boy a skinless emperor and three huge birds, which then went on to feature at festivals worldwide, and was nominated for a BAFTA in 2011. 

 

Our second short film “Flytopia” (2012) was commissioned by Film4 and based on a dark fantastical Will Self story. A very itchy film indeed.  It has toured festivals worldwide, winning a number of awards.

 

We have directed, produced and animated award-winning music promos  (BAA, Annecy and more) for artists such as Katie Melua, The Staves, Micha p Hinson, Beth Orton, Flogging Molly and many more.

 

We have recently completed our third short film, commissioned by the BFI and titled WILD SUMMON. it is starting its film festival tour later this year (2023)

Karni is completing a photography book project, titled EYE MAMA, featuring the curated work of photographers who identify  as Mamas.
